We are in a rural location, nearby Amsterdam. You can get there in different ways:
Are you coming with your own transport? You can park nearby free of charge, depending on availability: in the yard or at the parking space on the road.
A taxi from (and to) Schiphol? Then you can call 0031 20-777 7777 and order a Schiphol taxi for a super sharp rate. The taxi will take you here for a maximum of € 37,50 (otherwise it can cost you € 70,00!!!). You should call, indicate that you want to make use of the special rate (Amsterdam-Schiphol rate) and go to the STA counter in Arrivals Hall 4. (beware of illegal taxi drivers, they are very enthusiastic, but afterwards outrageously expensive!)
Do you want to come by taxi from the city centre for example? You can call 0031 20-777 7777 for the general number of TCA (Taxi Central Amsterdam) or take the first taxi in the line at Central Station. Would you prefer a cheaper Uber taxi? Then you must have the Uber app on your phone (this is linked to your bank card). In this way, you can come to us cheaper and without cash from, for example, the station or the center.
By public transport: For the adventurous traveller!
Public transport to Rural Amsterdam has been submitted to an experiment by the Municipality of Amsterdam on 1 February 2018, which makes taking the bus from the outskirts of Amsterdam to Zunderdorp a bit more ‘complicated’ (understatement). You can do the following:
(Or you can skip the whole instruction and sent us -in time- a WhatsApp that you are travelling with public transport and we will try to pick you up from the busstop at the Beemsterstraat :).
This is the long instruction: Travel to Amsterdam Central Station by train, tram or bus. Take your OV chip card, or buy an OV chip card in a vending machine or at the counter at Central Station, which can be an hour, day or multi-day card. You can check www.9292.nl how your travel planning is: Departure: Amsterdam Central – Arrival: Voorwerf, Amsterdam (and then look at what time you will arrive at the stop ‘Buikslotermeerplein’, because that is your transfer-stop).
You call Mokumflex to register with your OV card at 0031 20 – 211 13 36. As soon as you are registered (and that is possible in the same telephone conversation) you can order a bus at the time you expect to arrive at the stop ‘Buikslotermeerplein’ according to www.9292.nl. You have to register at least one hour in advance.
You get on the bus from for example Central Station (like www.9292.nl advises you, for example bus 33) and leave the bus at the stop ‘Buikslotermeerplein’, this is the same terminal your transport will also come to to take you to Zunderdorp (at busstop line 31) (it can be a car instead of a bus). You need your OV card to show that you are the booker. Get off at stop ‘t Nopeind and take a right turn into the street (Voorwerf), we can be found at number 7 (at 9 in the yard).
Of course we find this ‘new’ experimental way very complicated and we will always try to pick you up from the stop Beemsterstraat by car. Just let us know that your are travelling by bus and we will think of something.
At our B&B we have bicycles available. You can of course always use these to go to the city later on. You can cycle to the Beemsterstraat and take bus 33 to CS for example. This bus goes every seven minutes. This way you bypass the bus debacle.
